This contract saw me being on the design team for teaching and learning approaches in the Joint (Malaysia & Germany) government project on promoting technical & vocational training (TEVT) in Malaysia. Being one of the two Malaysians on board the project team was intimidating at first, but the experienced German consultants taught us so much it was a joy to work with them.

Who says spreadsheets are boring? This role saw me generating utilization reports and initial analysis that formed the basis of resource utilization weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast, which went into consideration when determining hourly rates of the engineers, consultants and project managers. This is where I developed my love for data and learned how a set of figures can be as illuminating as a storyboard.

My team and I managed training for IT system admins and end users for 7 IT subsystems of KLIA's TAMS (Total Airport Management System) and helped create concept of operations for the Training Team. I also helped manage the Y2K Assessment and Upgrade Project for KLIA in 1999 to ensure all IT-related systems were ready for the new millenium.
