Professional Experience: I hold professional qualifications in Education and Counselling, having worked in both for more than 3 decades. As a professionally qualified counsellor, I have practised in diverse counseling settings - Institutionalized boys’ Home, Family counselling, Mental Health counselling, School counselling, Group Work, and Career counselling. I have chosen to specialize my counselling practice in the Career Development space. I have professional experience working with undergraduate students, to help them discover their strengths and interests, equip them with employability skills, and prepare them for future readiness and lifelong learning. I have also worked with post-graduate adults and mature learners, who may be experiencing career transitions or exploring a career pivot for new experiences. Since 2020, I have been serving in the Public Service Career Coach Network, providing career development coaching to individuals in the government sectors. I am also an Associate Faculty teaching Masters-level courses in Career Development, Vocational Assessment & Counselling at the National Institute of Education/Nanyang Technology University and the Singapore University of Social Sciences. I remain active in the field of career development in various roles as instructor, researcher, counsellor, coach, mentor, and supervisor. For my contribution in the field of career counseling and continual involvement in my future work. I was awarded the 2015 inaugural Asia Pacific Career Development Association Emerging Leader Scholarship. I enjoy exploring mountain peaks because "Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt."- John Muir.
