Hi, I’m Joanne. My career journey has been anything but linear, and I’m proud of that. I started as an ACCA graduate and spent 3 years at Deloitte, specializing in GST and Business Tax. I was part of the early team rolling out Malaysia's GST system—those were intense and rewarding years. But truthfully, I never really enjoyed Accounting. When my mandatory ACCA experience was completed, I took a leap into the unknown. That leap brought me into the NGO world, where I spent 4 years at World Vision in Digital Marketing. I had no prior experience, but I went all in. It was tough, but it was also one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career. It taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and how to navigate the world of impact-driven work. Today, I’m back in the corporate world—this time in a Digital Marketing agency, focusing on account management and project management. While the industry is different, I’ve always been in client servicing and managing complex projects. What keeps me going is the unknown. New industries, new challenges, and the freedom of creating my own path outside the norm—that's what drives me. On top of that, I’m also an Emotional Wellbeing Coach, helping high-achieving individuals who feel stuck or burnt out to find clarity, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with what truly matters to them. I believe that work and life don’t have to fit into boxes, and that it’s possible to carve your own version of success.
