With more than seven years of experience in social impact, Hakimah is passionate about community development, project management, leadership, SDGs and enhancing the capabilities of NGOs through skill-building and impactful measurement strategies. She has played a pivotal role in managing projects with local and international organizations like the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Embassy, Internews Europe, Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia Negeri Selangor and others. Known for her organized nature and personable attitude, she approaches tasks with precision and fosters positive collaboration. With strong motivation and passion, she believes she knows how to handle and deal with different kinds of people and circumstances. Currently, she is our Director of Operations, managing operations and projects, and a Co-Leader in EvalYouth Malaysia Chapter. Together with these roles, she aspires to grow in the industry and benefit the community in the long run.
The impact I want to make
I want to give back to young and potential leaders, by guiding them with adaptive leadership. I want to help them to navigate the challenges they face with a technical and adaptive approach. I want to help my mentee grow as a leader and have the ability to lead, even though they don't own any senior positions in a team. They need to understand that they can lead even without the title. I am motivated by the potential positive ripple effect that with mentoring, the knowledge and skills passed on to the mentee, will able to create a long-term impact on the community and self-development. I hope to empower the mentee to have curiosity and become lifelong learners and contributors to society. Being a mentor is not just about helping others, it is also personally fulfilling. It will give me a sense of purpose and reinforce the belief in the impact that mentorship can have on individual lives.
