The impact I want to make
As a mentor, I want to help youth by providing guidance, support, and a safe space to explore their interests and challenges. I’d focus on: Listening and Understanding: Creating an open environment where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. Goal Setting: Assisting them in identifying their passions and setting achievable goals. Skill Development: Offering resources and advice to help them build skills relevant to their interests, whether academic, creative, or personal. Problem-Solving: Helping them navigate challenges and develop resilience by discussing strategies and encouraging critical thinking. Encouragement: Celebrating their successes, no matter how small, to build their confidence and motivation.
