How does scientific and technology development affect the society and the environment?

I am currently 3rd year computer science student who is actively searching internship in Singapore as the foreigner who is studying in Malaysia. I have to admit that I dont possess a good grade but I am just thinking whether there exists possibility for me to do so. I choose Singapore due to the opportunities provided for computer science like me. I understand I can't apply for Work Holiday Pass but is there any way for me to do internship there?
