Is market validation sometimes been done too much and has been used as an excuse of not pursuing instead? When is the right time for a founder to pursue it full time?

Market Validation is constantly on going, it doesn't just happen one off. As you build a stronger product-market-fit you will need to continue to validate your product. There isnt a cookie cutter for when to go full time. For me, it was when I knew without going full time, the I'd be slowing down growth. Thats when I jumped.

Agree with Francesca in the on-going market validation. That's why in startups, we call it pivot. As for timing wise, nobody can tell you when is the right time as it's more of a gut feeling, to me, at least.
