Hi, I have a background in offshore engineering and engineering management. I am thinking to pursue job opportunities in strategy and management consulting using data analytics/ data science. Do I need internship in consulting or analytic firm prior to these applications ?

And as I mentioned, seeing that you will be a fresh graduate in about 4 months, though yes, it will be a plus point, it is not necessary to have the relevant work experience. What is more important is that you are able to practise critical thinking to analyse and make sense of the data, as well as being able to learn new skills quickly on-the-job.
