Women in leadership programme questions

What is a women in leadership mentoring programme?

A women in leadership mentoring programme gives women a structured space to build leadership confidence, judgement and visibility through guided reflection and workplace practice. FutureLab combines relevant mentor matching, a clear journey and evidence from both mentees and mentors.

Who should join: emerging talent or senior women?

Both can join in separate tracks. The emerging track supports early-to-mid-career women building confidence and leadership identity, while the advanced track supports senior individual contributors and people managers moving toward broader leadership influence.

How long does the programme run?

Programmes are flexible. A typical example runs for six months with four one-to-one mentoring sessions and a mid-point group check-in, but the length and rhythm can be adjusted around your people and priorities.

Who are the mentors?

Mentors can be experienced FutureLab industry mentors, your own senior leaders, or a mix of both. Each mentor is matched around the mentee's goals and support needs.

How do you measure whether it worked?

FutureLab measures change across mindset, behaviour, application and outcomes. Mentee and mentor evaluations are compared pair by pair, so the final report does not rely on self-report alone.

Can we run it alongside our succession or high-potential programmes?

Yes. The women in leadership programme can complement a wider succession or high-potential strategy while keeping its own tracks, goals and measures.

Can we adapt this to our own competency framework or existing programme?

Yes. FutureLab can run alongside or inside your existing talent programmes, using your themes, mentors and timelines. We can help you shape the journey and measurement around the framework your organisation already uses.
